Course Description

Over the past few decades, engineers and their companies have been found complicit in accidents that resulted in death and destruction. Ultimately, the culprit turned out to be one of three reasons; attempts to maximize profits and minimize costs, trying to rush a project to meet deadlines or faulty calculations. We will examine several cases and reveal a new model to show how catastrophes can be avoided in the future.
